THE NORTH SHORE

North Vancouver - Cates Park

British Columbia - Canada

Situated at the eastern end of Dollarton Highway close to the point where it turns north to Deep Cove, Cates Park is a well developed and well maintained recreational area popular with residents of both sides of Burrard Inlet. Large picnic areas, playgrounds, walking trails and a boat launch area supported by complete public facilities make this a perfect relaxation spot for an individual or a large group. Such being the case weekends and holidays during the summer do result in periodic crowding of facilities so plan to come early and find YOUR spot for the day. The beach does have some swimming areas but it is mostly for strolling and marine life discoveries (great for the kids to explore)as the images show.
