John Lawson Park, situated along the shore line at the foot of 17th Street is another one of the recreational areas that stretch from the eastern edge of Ambleside Park all the way to Dundarave Park. A special feature is the wharf built at the beginning of the 1900's and still used as a viewpoint. This park has public facilities, a playground, picnic areas and the requisite benches given the great views overlooking Burrard Inlet.
Two blocks west of this park is the eastern end of a paved seawall that stretches from 19th Street to 25th Street (Dundarave), a favourite for brisk walks or casual strolls, again with great views at any time of day.
